Quattro Art Color Study

Just a quick color study for an idea for a Quattro art piece.  The Audi Quattro is the car that really put Audi on the map as far as performance and the superiority of all-wheel drive.  This piece is 100% digital.  The line art was done using Autodesk Sketchbook Pro.  I have used Illustrator and Photoshop to try to create the natural look of a pencil sketch.  Neither one looked as natural as Sketchbook Pro.  Since Sketchbook Pro is somewhat geared towards the automotive designer, the sketching tools are top notch.  Once this quick sketch was finished in Sketchbook Pro, I exported it to Corel Painter.  I’m fairly new to Corel Painter.  I like it because instead of doing many things well, it only does one thing well, paint.  It’s the only software I have used that really gives the natural painter feel with the brush strokes and drips.
